Understanding the Jewish National Fund Canada Revocation

Jewish National Fund of Canada Inc.

  • Has operated since 1967 as one of the main tools of indoctrination within the Zionist community, teaching generations of children to support Palestinian ethnic cleansing as a core spiritual component of the Jewish faith.
  • Has enjoyed deep ties to Canadian political power, and as far back as 2010 was actively protected by the Canadian government against investigative enquiry into its illegal activities in Palestine.
  • Is perhaps most famous for the establishment of ‘Canada Park’, a greenwashing project built upon razed Palestinian villages.
  • Prior to revocation, was audited multiple times, including in 1977, 1981, 1985, 1995 and 2011-2012.
  • In its audit, the CRA found that JNF Canada did not exhibit direction or control over its main Israeli intermediary, known as Keren Ka’yemeth Le’Israel (KKL), whose activities were not considered charitable.
  • Between 2018-2022, JNF Canada sent over $23 million CDN in charitable donations to the KKL.
  • The KKL is Israel’s largest private landowner, owning upwards of 13% of all lands, and exclusively resells lands it has obtained to Jewish citizens.
  • Through its private corporations, Himanuta and Himanuta Jerusalem, the KKL has made massive land purchases within the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
  • The KKL also works to expand the territorial footprint of illegal settlements through settlement-adjacent projects such as museums, lookout points and security roads.
  • The KKL also provides direct funding to violent, expansionist, settler movements through partnerships it maintains.
  • For example, its “Maof Programs”, diverts funding to so-called illegal outposts, which operate as the expansionary arm of the settlement movement.
