The Protect Palestinian Children Now (PPCN) campaign was launched in December 2024, as a follow-up to Defense for Palestinian Children International’s (DCPI) No Way to Treat a Child 2018 campaign. Between December 2024 and the election being called in March 2025, 13 incumbent Members of Parliament (MP) endorsed PPCN. Since then, an additional 49 MP candidates have endorsed this campaign.

In addition to endorsing the campaign, some candidates provided additional comments:

Anything to stop the illegal occupation, apartheid, and genocide of civilian men, women, and children.” — Jennifer Purdy, Green Party, Kanata

“Même si le parti Rhinocéros est connu pour son humour, mon engagement à condamner le régime colonial d’Israël est bien réel et s’étend à tous les peuples ciblés par les frappes israéliennes.” — Lysane Picker-Paquin, Parti Rhinoceros, Rimouski—La Matapédia

“I wholeheartedly endorse this initiative and strongly believe that no child should ever face detention, prosecution under military courts, or be harmed in military operations. The violations against Palestinian children are unacceptable and must be condemned. Children everywhere deserve safety, dignity, and the full protection of international law. Canada must take immediate steps to ensure that Israel upholds its obligations under the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the recent ICJ Advisory Opinion. Additionally, I support the call for a military arms embargo and for urgent action to hold Israel accountable for these violations.” — Yusuf Ulukanligil, New Democratic Party, York Centre

Free Palestine” — Chris Markevich, Green Party, Courtenay—Alberni

In the coming days, all comments from MP candidates (including statements from incumbent MPs provided pre-election call) will be available on this page.

Check if your candidate(s) have endorsed the campaign, and if not, call on them to:

condemn Israel’s killing, injuring, and detaining of Palestinian children, and the trauma that is being inflicted on children through the military occupation and genocide. This includes insisting in a military arms embargo by Canada, and that Canada take immediate and urgent steps to insist Israel comply with its obligations under the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the recent ICJ Advisory Opinion.

They can officially endorse the campaign by filling out this form or emailing us at supportPPCN@pm.me. If your candidates tell you they will not endorse the campaign, we’d also love to hear from you through the above email.
