A Christian Palestinian Arab Semite from Nazareth denied the right to return since 1948

December 24, 2023

180 Palestinian births are taking place in the occupied Gaza Strip every day under apartheid Israel’s indiscriminate bombardment, with mothers surrounded and afflicted by infectious diseases and starvation.

The hardships facing Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip, only 73 kilometres away from Bethlehem, remind us of the hardships faced when the Virgin Mary gave birth to Jesus in Bethlehem – and it is therefore incumbent on all people and all Christians to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people to see an end to their unimaginable suffering for 75 years under a settler colonial apartheid regime that denies them freedom, equality, the right to return, and a just peace in Palestine.

Palestinian Christian churches have called for canceling  “unnecessary festive activities”

Over the last few days the Canadian Council of Churches and its member churches have received several thousand letters asking them to show their solidarity with Palestinian Christians and all Palestinian people, and to refrain from “unnecessary festive activities” and to denounce the Israeli genocide against the Palestinian people and all those who are enabling and directly participating in this genocide, including the Canadian military special forces. So far, the Canadian Council of Churches and its affiliates have remained silent to the call from the Palestinian Christian churches.
