In 2020, Just Peace Advocats worked to create a media list related to the campaing #NoUNSC4Canada. During 2021, working with dozens of organizations across Canada, Just Peace Advocates put out more than one press release each week on topics that do not make the main stream media.
The list of media contacts is Canada-based, but includes media from around the world. There are currently about 2500 media contacts on our list.
Some of the releases are for campaigns and news related directly to Just Peace Advocates work, or work we are doing in partnership with other organizations. But often the releases are from other organizations who are working on specific campaigns we support.
Releases often are provided in french as well as english. Sometimes spanish, arabic and hebrew.

The contact info has been removed for the most part from the releases that are provided below, as well as some of the pictures & graphics. Even at that the report is close to 100 pages of text.
Releases on some topics have resulted in some mainstream coverage in Canada and internationally. In other cases, alternate media including internationally have referened the releases. We have found the french media is more likely than the english media to pick up coverage. In some cases later media coverage has drawn from releases we have provided.
In 2022, we hope to provide more regular reporting of the releases sent, and the response to these. For the most part during 2021, the releases directly related to Just Peace Advocates work have been posted on our website, but we thought you might enjoy seeing the breath and depth of the press releases we have been sending during 2021.
