Thanks to the over 1500 people who signed this petition.  It was closed when the writ was dropped, however, we will look at moving forward with another petition early in the new government administration.

Whereas:

We recognize the significant contributions that Palestinian Canadians have made to the Canadian society, the richness of the Palestinian culture, and the importance of education; and

We reflect on the contributions of the Palestinian culture for future generations.

We, the undersigned, residents of Canada, call upon the Government of Canada to name November 29, every year, Palestinian Heritage Day.

The petition will remain up until midnight August 13, 2019.

The petition will be presented in the House of Commons, and with many signatures, it will send a clear message of the importance of establishing a Palestinian Heritage Day.
